Incorporating over 50 years of experience, Lee S. Goldwich and Juan C. Rey are the driving forces behind Horizon. Their hands-on leadership and close-knit corporate structure provides daily involvement with case management and processing. From our President to our newest staff member, we are all focused on producing useful and warranted information, yielding results for our clients. Working as a team, the execution of our efforts combines all of our collective resources, professionalism, experience and know-how to get the job done right…the first time.



Lee Goldwich is President of Horizon Investigations, Inc. He received his initial training in the United States Air Force, where he worked as a Security Police Law Enforcement Specialist / Investigator for four years. After his Honorable Discharge in 1983, he obtained his Private Investigation license. He then gained his insurance experience working for an independent insurance adjusting company. After obtaining his All-Lines Adjuster license in 1984, he founded Horizon Investigations, Inc., a Florida Private Investigations Agency specializing in casualty and maritime defense investigations.

Lee Goldwich is a member of the South Florida Claims Association, Fort Lauderdale Claims Association, Florida Association of Licensed Investigators, Fort Lauderdale Mariner’s Club, and the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators. He holds the Florida Certified Investigator designation, one of less than 100 as certified by the Florida Board of Certified Investigators. His current duties include overseeing Horizon’s daily operations, which includes actively participating in the handling of investigative assignments.

Juan Rey is CEO of Horizon Investigations, Inc. He obtained his Private Investigator license in 1983, graduated from Florida State University in 1984 with a degree in Criminology, and continued his career specializing in insurance defense and fraud investigations. In addition to being a licensed Private Investigator, Juan Rey is also a licensed All-Lines Claims Adjuster, Certified Deposition Video Specialist and a Certified Video Documentary Specialist. He works closely with Risk Managers and SIU Directors in establishing customized programs addressing their security and investigative priorities.

Juan Rey is a member of the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators, South Florida Claims Association, Fort Lauderdale Claims Association, American Society of Industrial Security, National Association of Investigative Specialists, Workers’ Compensation Claims Association, and National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators. He holds the Florida Certified Investigator designation, one of less than 100 as certified by the Florida Board of Certified Investigators. He is responsible for the overall guidance and management of the company, which includes participating in a weekly file review / troubleshooting session as well as assisting on demanding assignments.
